Christian Eriksen will start this coming Sunday’s Derby D’Italia away to Juventus on the substitutes bench according to a report in today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 28-year-old Danish international attacking midfielder, who joined the club on a four and a half year deal during the recent January transfer window, is set to be dropped to the bench after two consecutive starts in which he scored one and tallied one assist.

Conte is making this decision due to the fact he wants players who already know his ways completely, to play in such a big match.

Essentially, Conte is still waiting on the former Tottenham Hotspur player to get up to speed with the rest of his Nerazzurri teammates.

Conte is however well aware that Eriksen’s versatility allows him tactical flexibility and that he is a precious trump card that he could pull out at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
