Inter coach Antonio Conte has decided what starting eleven he will deploy against Juventus in the Derby d’Italia tonight, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how Conte will start Inter captain Samir Handanovic in goal. The 35-year-old Slovenian shot stopper will return after missing six games, due to a hairline fracture in his left little finger. Ahead of him will be Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni, alongside the usual partnership of Milan Skriniar and Stefan De Vrij. Conte has chosen the 20-year-old Bastoni over Uruguayan veteran Diego Godin.
In the midfield Antonio Candreva is favoured over Danilo D’Ambrosio on the right side, the report continues. Matias Vecino is also set to start in the midfield ahead of former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen. Vecino will be alongside Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic in the centre of the pitch, with Ashley Young on the left. The team will be led by the attacking partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Probabile Inter Lineup (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij; Antonio Candreva, Matias Vecino, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Ashley Young; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez
