Inter have cooled their interest in signing Olympiacos defender Kostas Tsimikas according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Inter have been linked with the Greek national team full back for a few weeks now but Inter manager Antonio Conte has decided he wants better players to Tsimikas brought in and Inter have therefore dropped their interest in signing him.
With Inter now out of the race it leaves Napoli and newly interested Torino to vie for the signature of the 23-year-old, who has contributed seven assists in 37 appearances across all competitions to date this term.
Elsewhere in the media, Inter have drawn strong links to the likes of Chelsea duo Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso, two players Conte knows very well having managed both of them in the past. Some reports in the media as of late have stated that Alonso is Conte’s preferred choice of the two.
