Inter are working on signing defender Danilo D’Ambrosio to a contract extension according to a report today from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The 31-year-old full back, who is also capable of playing at centre back, is under contract with the club until the end of next season and Inter would like to extend his contract with the club until 2023.

This season the former Torino defender, who joined Inter in 2014, has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date. In almost 1200 minutes on the field, he has scored one goal and helped Inter to keep a number of clean sheets in the process.

Reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that Inter are also working on contract extensions for club captain Samir Handanovic, Antonio Candreva and Marcelo Brozovic too.

Some reports have also suggested that Inter will hand Lautaro Martinez a new and improved deal if he is to reject the advances of Barcelona.
