Paris Saint Germain wish to keep a hold of on loan forward Mauro Icardi but wish to negotiate a new deal with Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of French newspaper L’Equipe.

Icardi joined the French capital city club on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal the newly crowned Ligue 1 champions obtained an option to buy him on a permanent basis for a sum of €70 million.

The Parisian’s however wish to do a player or players plus cash deal for the 27-year-old Argentine forward and the report goes on to explain that they could offer German international Julian Draxler to the Nerazzurri as part of a deal.

26-year-old Draxler, who has been with the club since January 2017 and has a contract until the end of next season, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date this term in which he has provided a total of seven assists for his teammates.
