Fiorentina talisman Federico Chiesa is no longer a transfer market priority of either Inter or Juventus, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the two clubs have moved away from the 22-year-old Italian forward in recent days, due to the player’s cost. Italian American billionaire and Viola president Rocco Commisso values Chiesa at €70 million, a high figure considering the current financial climate, which has heavily affected the footballing world.

Inter aren’t prepared to pay so much currently, the report continues, with the Bianconeri agreeing with the Nerazzurri’s decision.

The two clubs would return to compete for the player’s signature for two reasons only, with the first being a lower price and the second being an openness to different types of deals by Fiorentina. Chiesa, who is contracted to Fiorentina until 2022, has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 26 appearances this season.
