Inter are thinking about possibly making a move for Roma’s Edin Dzeko to bolster their attacking options according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Inter had shown a keen interest in signing the Bosnian national team forward this past Summer but due to not moving quick enough Dzeko agreed to extend his contract with the Giallorossi.

Despite the contract extension, the report goes on to explain that Roma could be willing to let the veteran leave the club.

The reason Inter are back in for Dzeko is because the idea of Lautaro Martinez moving to Barcelona has cooled and rather than bring in a top level striker to replace him, Inter are instead looking to bring in an experienced head instead to accompany Lautaro and other strikers.

This season the 34-year-old has made 34 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists for his teammates.
