Radja Nainggolan’s loan deal with Cagliari looks set to be extended until the end of August according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The former Belgian national team midfielder joined the Sardinia based Rossoblu club on a season long loan this past Summer from Inter and it is due to expire tomorrow.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the season was postponed for several months but is now back underway and Nainggolan looks highly likely to spend the remainder of the season on loan with Cagliari.

The report goes on to add that at the end of the season Nainggolan will return to Inter and his future with the club will then be evaluated and it cannot be ruled out that he could even be reintegrated at the Nerazzurri.

This season Nainggolan has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park he has scored six goals and tallied six assists.
