Inter central midfielder Roberto Gagliardini has shared his belief that Inter were deserving winners against Brescia earlier on tonight.

Inter smashed the relegation threatened Rondinelle 6-0 with three goals coming in each half of the game. Gagliardini got his name on the score sheet with him scoring Inter’s fourth goal as he headed home an Alexis Sanchez free kick.

“We had a great game. From the beginning of the match we set the pace and we got a well deserved result,” he explained in an interview with sports broadcaster DAZN following the match at San Siro this evening.

He was then asked about Inter managing to keep a clean sheet, something that they have failed to do for some time now prior to this match.

“It’s an aspect of the game which we have to improve on and today the goal, besides winning, was not to concede.”

He then spoke on what it meant to be able to score this week having missed an open goal in the 3-3 draw with Sassuolo two games ago.

“It was a week different to the others. Today I scored a goal in the same goal where I missed last week. I lived it serenely, aware of the mistake I had made and the points lost with Sassuolo, but we have since played two games and picked up six points.”

Next the Italian midfielder, who Inter recruited from fellow Serie A side Atalanta in 2017, spoke on Inter’s Serie A title chances and whether he believes that he and his teammates have a shot at winning the title.

“Yes, absolutely. Game after game we will try to score points and in the end we will see what happens.”
