Having carried out an interview with media outlet DAZN, Inter manager Antonio Conte addressed the media as a whole in a press conference following on from Inter’s emphatic 6-0 win over Brescia.
Inter quickly took the lead via full back Ashley Young and scored another two through Alexis Sanchez and Danilo D’Ambrosio by the time the half time interval came around.
Inter started the second half well with Roberto Gagliardini scoring early doors whilst Christian Eriksen and Antonio Candreva rounded off the scoring for Inter in a well deserved victory.
“When playing frequently it is inevitable that you need to make changes, the important thing is that these massive changes do not change the team,” Conte told the gathered media at the press conference.
“My players know what to do, in training I mixed the teams up so everyone could get used to everyone. I received good answers, I had no doubts about this because I have guys with great heart and courage.
“We have to improve psychologically because sometimes we can be careless but I am proud and happy. Today I want to do highlight a particular player, even if I never do.
“Borja Valero deserves praise, he has always been ready with great professionalism in all emergencies, even though I never used him at the beginning. He played an exceptional game.”
He was then asked what his expectations of Alexis Sanchez are after the Chilean national team player put in a man of the match performance.
“I expect him to be better. Let’s remember that we’ve never had him available this season, we’ve played the whole season with only Lautaro, Lukaku and Esposito. Sometimes you see the glass half empty but nobody considers that we only had three attackers for a long time.
“Having Sanchez in top condition leaves me more relaxed in my choices, as happened with Parma where he acted as an extra midfielder, because he has different characteristics compared to Lukaku and Lautaro. Now he must continue like this.
“Can he play more? What do you mean can he play more? He has played all the matches so far. The problem is that we didn’t have him before. I laugh when I hear bullsh*t like this.”
In conclusion he was asked about whether he is worried that he will only have the former Barcelona player available him until the end of the Serie A season.
“This is a problem that the club must solve. We have done without Sanchez for three quarters of the season, of course that now that he has reached these levels I would like to have him until the end. I cannot enter into discussions that do not belong to me.”
