Fiorentina are seriously considering changing their manager and Luciano Spalletti is at the top of their shortlist according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Following the 3-1 loss to Sassuolo which continued La Viola’s poor run of form as of late, Fiorentina management are taking the time to reflect on whether Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Iachini is the right man to manage the club.

The report goes on to explain that Fiorentina management dream of appointing Spalletti as their manager and would be willing to offer him an annual salary of €4.5 million to convince him to take charge of the club.

In order to appoint Spalletti though, Spalletti will have to agree a severance package with Inter seeing as he is still on the club’s books until the end of next season.

The former Roma boss had been heavily linked with taking over at AC Milan earlier on this season but failed to agree a severance package with Inter unwilling to meet his demands to terminate his contract.
