Paulo Sousa leaving Bordeaux as good as rules the club out from making a move for Inter central midfielder Borja Valero according to a report from French broadcaster RMC Sport, which was aired a short time ago.
The veteran Spanish midfielder’s contract with Inter is due to expire at the end of August and Bordeaux had shown an interest in him in recent weeks but with Sousa, who Valero worked with at Fiorentina, leaving the club Valero is unlikely to be pursued by the management of the Ligue 1 outfit.
It remains to be seen what will happen with Valero as his contract nears closer to expiring. Inter manager Antonio Conte has been full of praise for the former West Bromwich Albion player as of late but at 35-years-old it is undeniable that his best years as a player are now behind him.
This season Valero has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals.
