Barcelona will make a fresh move for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez at the end of the La Liga season according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
The 22-year-old’s €111 million release clause is due to expire today and Barcelona have made it clear to Inter that they have no intention of paying the clause.
Barcelona have already agreed a five year contract with the player that comes with an annual salary of €12 million and remain confident about getting a deal done, even if Inter intend to try and sign him to a contract renewal which would see him earn approximately half of what Barcelona are offering.
With those conditions, it would be difficult for Inter to demand that his €111 million release clause is eliminated from the contract but the report claims that should Inter offer €7.5 million a year plus add-ons to take it to €9 million a year, things could be different.
