Lazio are in a hurry to try and beat Inter to the signing of Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Messaggero.
Lazio sporting director Igli Tare met with Hellas Verona president Maurizio Setti yesterday for talks over the highly rated Albanian national team centre back.
Hellas Verona want €30 million for Kumbulla but Lazio hope to be able to convince them to drop their demands by offering Andre Anderson and Cristiano Lombardi as part of a deal.
The report goes on to explain that Hellas Verona like both players and this could reduce their demands down to €20 million.
This season the 20-year-old, who is under contract until 2022, has had his first team breakthrough at the Gialloblu club. He has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 2100 minutes on the park, Kumbulla has scored a single goal.
