Roma currently have no plans to sell club captain Edin Dzeko according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

The Giallorossi club have a number of planned sales in mind, namely players who do not fit the club’s strategy, can produce capital gains and are past 30-years-old and earning a lot.

Although Dzeko is 34-years-old and is the club’s current highest earner, the Roma management deem the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team striker central to the club’s current project.

The report does however warn that if the planned sales do not come to fruition, the Roma management could be forced to reconsider things and this could lead to Dzeko being offloaded.

Dzeko has been linked with a potential switch to Inter ahead of the upcoming transfer window with it understood that Inter manager Antonio Conte is a big fan of him.

This season Dzeko has made 40 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists for his teammates.
