A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted Inter striker Romelu Lukaku’s strong performance against Genoa in the Nerazzurri’s clinical 3-0 win last night.
The report details how coach Antonio Conte has been keen to work with the 27-year-old for some time now, and finally got his wishes when the player was signed from Manchester United last summer.
In his debut season in Italy, Lukaku has been one of the most destructive strikers in Italy, working very well with the former Juventus and Chelsea coach.
Lukaku’s physical characteristics make him perfect for Conte’s system, the report continues. The player is tall and strong, but able to sprint fast, helping him both set forward attacks in motion as well as hold up play when he is the most forward player.
The Rossoblu failed to contain Lukaku yesterday and couldn’t match his strength or agility very well, considering that he scored a brace.
