Inter are ahead of city rivals AC Milan in the race to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Giornale.

The Nerazzurri club are prepared to meet Brescia’s demands for the highly rated Italian midfielder by submitting a €35 million offer for him.

Reports elsewhere in the media have stated that Inter have long had an agreement in place with the 20-year-old over personal terms.

With Inter set to make the above offer, it remains to be seen whether or not AC Milan will hit back and if Inter will be able to get the deal over the line for Tonali, who is widely regarded as one of the best Italian prospects out there at the moment.

This season Tonali has made 34 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided seven assists for his teammates.
