Inter are facing competition from Atletico Madrid and Chelsea for Borussia Monchengladbach central defender Matthias Ginter according to a report from the online edition of German news outlet Kicker.

All three clubs have been left impressed by what Ginter showed during the course of this season and all have what is described as a concrete interest in signing him.

Ginter currently has under a year left on his deal with the Bundesliga side but the BORUSSIA-Park outfit have a contract extension clause which enables them to extend his contract with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The report goes on to explain that Ginter could receieve a significant salary from Inter in particular. The report states that the 2014 World Cup winning defender could be given an annual salary in the high single digit million range.

This season Ginter has made 36 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.
