Lucien Agoume will take the place of Matias Vecino in Inter’s UEFA squad list according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The young Frenchman is to replace the Uruguayan national team player in the squad due to the fact Vecino’s season is over after he recently underwent knee surgery on a knee injury that has been bothering him for some time.

Agoume joined Inter this past Summer from French club FC Sochaux and has made a few appearances at first team level over the course of this season.

Agoume, who has often found himself compared to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, is under contract with Inter until 2022 and recent reports in the media have suggested that he is set to be handed a new long term deal with the club.

This season the 18-year-old has made 12 appearances across all competitions to date this term, three of which have come at first team level.
