Inter manager Antonio Conte has categorically denied a media report from Italian newspaper La Repubblica which has suggested that he wants to leave Inter and return to arch rivals Juventus.

A short time ago the Rome based news outlet reported that Conte wants to go back to Juventus, where he previously played and managed.

Following his most recent public outburst after Inter’s 2-0 win over Atalanta on the final day of the 2019/20 Serie A season, media speculation has been rife when it comes to his future with many reports suggesting that Inter and Conte could part ways with one another.

“Regarding the article published today on Repubblica.it, I categorically deny the fact that I spoke with Juventus directors and players asking ‘are you going to sack Sarri?'”

“I will sue those who wrote this article and the editor in charge of the magazine,” the former Italian national team manager opened an interview with Italian news agency ANSA, a short time ago, reported on FcInterNews as well.

Conte proceeded to reaffirm his commitment to Inter, who he took charge of this past Summer, when he replaced Luciano Spalletti.

“I took on a three-year project with Inter and as I have always done in my life I will work hard and will fight with all my strength and with all that is in my possibilities to make it a winning project.”

The 51-year-old has managed Inter in 49 matches across all competitions to date this term, of which he has won 29, drawn 12 and lost eight matches.
