Inter are looking to sign Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to support Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 28-year-old Danish midfielder has struggled to impress in his first six months in Italy, causing concern for some as the player seems a shadow of his former self.

Inter are not worried about the player’s performances so far and are looking to purchase Tottenham’s Ndombele in order to better support the former Spurs midfielder tactically.

To sign Ndombele, the Nerazzurri may look to exchange him with Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar, the report continues. The player has struggled with Conte’s back-three this season but doesn’t want to leave the Milanese club.

The exchange deal is unlikely to go ahead should Conte depart the club at the end of the season, as potential replacement Massimiliano Allegri would change the formation to have a back-four again, more suitable for the Slovak. Eriksen will remain important regardless of which coach leads Inter next season.
