With the arrival of new coach Ronald Koeman, Barcelona are looking to overhaul their squad and their primary offensive target is Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo earlier today.
The report details how Lautaro’s future is linked with that of Uruguayan veteran Luis Suarez. Should the former Liverpool striker leave the club this summer then Lautaro is expected to arrive to fill the gap, with even Koeman already giving the green light for the deal, happy to have the 22-year-old Argentine player at his disposal.
Another target of Barcelona’s is Lyon’s Memphis Depay, who reached the Champions League semi-finals with the French side earlier this week before being defeated by German giants Bayern Munich. Lautaro failed to impress in the Europa League final defeat to Sevilla last night, being mostly invisible throughout the game and again being outperformed by his replacement Alexis Sanchez, who accomplished more with less time on the pitch.
