Free agent Mario Mandzukic has been offered to Roma accoring to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Although Mandzukic is the same age as current club captain and striker Edin Dzeko, Mandzukic would more than likely accept much less than Dzeko, who currently earns €7 million a year.
Going off of what the Croatian’s representatives have asked for from Fiorentina and Parma in recent weeks, the report suggests Mandzukic could accept a two year deal with an annual salary of €4 million plus add-ons.
This is the same amount that Roma have offered to Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik but the Polish international would like a longer term contract.
Mandzukic, who is a free agent after recently freeing himself from his contract with Al-Duhail, has also been linked with a potential move to Inter. He was first linked a few months back and these links have persisted, despite the uncertainty regarding who will be in charge at Inter next season.
