Inter manager Antonio Conte felt alone all too often during his first season in charge of Inter according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a yesterday evening.

Conte is dissastisfied for a number of reasons with one of the main reasons being transfer business. The club failed to bring Edin Dzeko and Arturo Vidal in, two players Conte is convinced that would have enabled him to win it all this season.

The bullet sent to him understandably affected him a great deal and he would have liked to owners to have done more to prevent the information being leaked which caused much concern for his family.

In the January transfer window he once again wanted Vidal but the club opted to sign Christian Eriksen instead and this is when cracks began to appear in his relationship with Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta.

In short, there are multiple things that forced Conte to have several outbursts during the campaign, most recently following the Serie A season finale against Atalanta and Europa League final loss to Sevilla.

The report goes on to explain that it will be very difficult for Inter president Steven Zhang to hand Conte carte blanche as he would like and it seems like Conte’s time at the helm of the Nerazzurri has come to an end.
