Inter want at least €85 million from Barcelona to let Lautaro Martinez join them according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Marca.
Barcelona have been courting Lautaro for a long time now but their most recent offer of €70 million plus Junior Firpo is deemed inadequate by Inter, who are well aware of Lautaro’s desire to move to the Blaugrana club.
The two clubs have been in negotiations over the recently turned 23-year-old for several months and the report explains that the imminent departure of Luis Suarez makes it easier to sign Lautaro both in a sporting and economic sense.
Barcelona are due to start pre-season training next week and whilst unlikely Lautaro will be there for that starting, with all parties agreeing it is impossible for a deal to be agreed this week, the report concludes that Barcelona are prepared to make a definitive push to sign Lautaro in the next few hours.
