A Milan derby between Inter and AC Milan is brewing over Sandro Tonali from Brescia according to a report from Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.
The Nerazzurri club are in pole position for weeks due to having an agreement in principle with the player over personal terms with the player having accepted a five year contract offer with an annual salary of €2.5 million.
Tonali perfectly fits the bill when it comes to meeting what Inter want in a player in that he is young and promising and Italian, the report continues.
Inter are yet to reach an agreement with Brescia over Tonali, who they hope to be able to sign in a deal similar to the one that they signed Nicolo Barella in in the Summer of 2019 from Cagliari. Inter want to spend a total of €35 million on Tonali.
The report goes on to state that Inter’s crosstown rivals AC Milan have gotten involved and are pushing to sign the 20-year-old, due to Inter not wrapping up the deal.
