A report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia has suggested that signing Roma defender Aleksandar Kolarov is in line with their new transfer policy.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have already reached an agreement with the 34-year-old Serbian left back, who has been with the Giallorossi since 2017. Contracted until the end of next season, the Roman side want around €2 million for the player’s signature, with Inter’s offer barely less. Talks are ongoing to find a final agreement but one is expected to be reached over the next hours or days.

The deal for Kolarov is in line with their new transfer policy, the report continues, which was confirmed in the meeting with coach Antonio Conte earlier this week. The club are happy to provide some experienced winners to the 51-year-old Italian coach in order to fight for next season’s league title. Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is another strong target of the Nerazzurri.
