Aleksandar Kolarov is on the verge of officially becoming an Inter player according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter and Roma managed to come to an agreement over the versatile Serbian despite there being an initial €1 million distance between Inter’s offer and Roma’s demands but the club’s met in the middle and agreed a €1.5 million fee for Kolarov.
Inter and Kolarov have now also agreed personal terms after days of contract talks. Yesterday Kolarov finally accepted Inter’s demands that he sign a one year deal with an option to a second year and he will earn a salary of €3 million each year.
The report from the Milan based news outlet explains that Kolarov can be a precious wildcard for Inter manager Antonio Conte given his ability to play at left wing-back and centre back. Kolarov has no shortage of experience and charisma and is also a set-piece specialist.
