Former Inter midfielder Marco Tardelli is convinced that Arturo Vidal is a great signing for Inter and is a signing that certaintly strengthens the Nerazzurri team.
The Chilean national team player is set to terminate his contract with La Liga powerhouses Barcelona and will join Inter on a free transfer.
Inter have been courting the former Bayern Munich player for a long time and finally look set to welcome him to the club on a two year deal worth €6 million a year, that comes with an option for a third year as per various reports in the media.
“He is an excellent player, he has already triumphed in Italy with Juventus and would be a great reinforcement,” 1982 World Cup winner Tardelli explained in an interview with Chilean news outlet redgol.cl.
“He can give a lot, both in the offensive and defensive phases. His arrival makes the Inter squad stronger, who will surely fight for the Scudetto with Juventus.”
During the recently concluded 2019/20 season, Vidal, who has been with Barcelona since 2018, made 43 appearances across all competitions. In just over 2200 minutes on the park, the 33-year-old scored eight goals and he also provided a total of three assists for his teammates.
