Inter defenders Stefan De Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni will both undergo medical tests with the club today, with both players suffering from slight injuries, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 28-year-old Dutchman suffered a slight ankle sprain recently, forcing him to pull out from the Netherlands’ Nations League commitments. He flew back to Milan yesterday and underwent physiotherapy, and will be visited by Dr. Volpi and his medical staff today to see the severity of his injury.

21-year-old Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni will also be visited by Dr. Volpi and his staff today, the report continues, to examine the muscle injury that denied him the chance to make his Italy debut under coach Roberto Mancini. The club hope that Bastoni’s injury is simply fatigue, likely considering that the Nerazzurri’s last commitment was on the 21st August. The club’s next game is against Fiorentina on the 26th September.
