Inter are looking to find a new shirt sponsor to help reduce their negative balance sheets, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri’s current balance sheets see them sit around €100 million in the negative, with the Coronavirus pandemic causing losses of over €30 million. The situation is similar to clubs across the continent and in some cases is even better, but it still requires careful work from the club’s management to fix.
Inter didn’t cut their players’ salaries, the report continues, and so they won’t be spread across next season’s budget like some other Italian teams such as Juventus and Roma. Considering that the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic are likely to be felt for some time, the Suning group are looking for a major brand to replace Pirelli as the main shirt sponsor. The Italian company have sponsored the Nerazzurri since the 1995/96 season.
