Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal could leave Barcelona for Milan today, ready to sign with Inter after terminating his contract with the Blaugrana, according to a report from Spanish journalist Gerard Romero of RAC1 on Twitter earlier today.
The report details how the 33-year-old midfielder has been in talks with the Catalan side regarding his contract termination, with negotiations progressing after the player agreed to give up on the final year of his contract.
Vidal is incredibly keen to work with coach Antonio Conte again and is prepared to leave for Italy today in order to sign for the Nerazzurri, once his contract has been fully terminated with Barcelona.
The player has long been wanted by the 51-year-old Italian coach, and finally the former Chelsea and Juventus coach will get his man. Vidal is one of two midfield targets, with the other being 29-year-old French midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Romero discussed the situation on Twitter, saying: “Arturo Vidal intends to travel to Italy today, once contract resolved.”
