A report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia has suggested that Arturo Vidal is set to leave Barcelona to head for Milan in the coming hours.
The report details how the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder has been in talks with Barcelona for some time now regarding his contract termination deal, with progress finally being made after the player offered to give up his last year of wages in exchange for previously unpaid bonuses.
Vidal is close to finalizing his contract termination with Barcelona, the report continues, and will then fly to Milan in order to sign for Antonio Conte’s Inter.
The 51-year-old Italian has wanted the Chilean since his arrival in the Lombardy capital and will finally be getting his man, allowing the club to focus on other transfer targets.
Vidal made 43 appearances across all competitions last season for the Blaugrana, for a total of 2245 minutes. In that time, he scored eight goals and provided three assists.
