Fernando Llorente has become Inter’s number one target for the fourth choice striker role according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The veteran Spanish forward has overtaken Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud and Inter will now need to try and find an agreement with Napoli over him.

Inter have already tested the waters with Llorente himself who would like to stay in Italy to continue to benefit from the Italian tax laws.

A small fee should be enough to convince Napoli to part ways with Llorente who has fallen down the pecking order following the arrivals of Andrea Petagna and Victor Osimhen.

There are two reasons why Llorente has overtaken Giroud. The first is that he will cost less and the second is that he is not expecting to play as much as Giroud, who is wanting to play often in order to keep his spot in the French national team.
