All parties involved are working tirelessely to ensure that Diego Godin moves from Inter to Cagliari according to a report from Italian football journalist and transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla.

For a few days now Godin has been described as being extremely close to joining the Sardinian club from Inter and it is the intention of all parties to get a deal done.

The Uruguayan national team player has set his sights on a move to Cagliari, so strongly in fact that Pedulla claims Godin is unwilling to consider any other proposals than that of Cagliari.

Godin joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 on a free transfer after his contract with Atletico Madrid expired. He joined on a three year deal but looks set to depart after just one season with the club.

In his first – and what looks like it will be only – season with Inter, the 34-year-old made 36 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored two goals and provided a single assist.

Pedulla took to social media platform Twitter and posted: “Godin-Cagliari: Everyone intends to finalise the deal, they are working non-stop. Godin does not want to consider other proposals.”
