Christian Eriksen is favourite to start for Inter in the attacking midfield role in tomorrow evening’s Serie A season opener at home to Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Danish national team player is set to be deployed there in behind strikers Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez in a 3-4-1-2 system. The alternative to Eriksen is Stefano Sensi, who has put the injury problems that plagued him last season, behind him.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Danilo D’Ambrosio, Alessandro Bastoni and Aleksandar Kolarov will make up Inter’s defence as Stefan de Vrij is suspended whilst Milan Skriniar and Andrea Ranocchia are unlikely to play given ongoing transfer negotiations.

Inter versus Fiorentina is scheduled to kick off at 20:45 local time tomorrow at San Siro and whilst it will be Inter’s season opener, it will be Fiorentina’s second match.
