Italian stats provider Opta Paolo noted Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s ability to score from outside the penalty area with a post on their Twitter page yesterday.
The 23-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, scored the Milanese club’s first goal in yesterday’s 4-3 thriller, a curling effort from outside the box. The player also registered an assist in the win, playing well and resembling his late 2019 form.
Opta Paolo noted that only AC Milan’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskiy have scored more outside of the box in 2020.
