Inter are in advanced talks with Rennes over the potential transfer of wing-back Dalbert according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Dalbert returned to Inter at the start of this month following a season long loan spell at fellow Serie A side Fiorentina and does not appear to be part of the Nerazzurri club’s plans.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has confirmed to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio on air that the Nerazzurri are in talks with Rennes over Dalbert.

According to the report, Dalbert is one step away from completing a return to Ligue 1, where he previously represented OGC Nice.

The report goes on to explain that should Dalbert go on to complete a transfer away from the club, Inter will go after Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso, who is a player Inter have courted for some time due to manager Antonio Conte being a big fan.
