Inter’s big investment to sign Achraf Hakimi is already paying off according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Inter brought Hakimi to the club in a €45 million, including add-ons, deal from Real Madrid and the highly rated Moroccan has made a stellar start to life in the Nerazzurri shirt with this report stating that it is hard not to see legendary former Inter full back Maicon in Hakimi.
Unlike Maicon though, who arrived when he was 25-years-old, Hakimi has arrived at Inter aged just 21 and he is also far more well known than Maicon was when he arrived at Inter from Monaco.
Maicon never intiially started at Inter but once he became the starter he never looked back and he quickly learned the fundamentals to defending and Hakimi, as explained by Inter manager Antonio Conte in various interviews, will have to learn a lot in the non-possesion phase of the game.
Since joining Inter, Hakimi has made two appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided his teammates with two assists.
