Inter tried to sell Christian Eriksen to two German clubs but the player rejected both moves according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.
As per this report, the Nerazzurri club tried in vain to sell Eriksen to Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin prior to yesterday evening’s transfer deadline.
Eriksen, who also drew links to Paris Saint-Germain during the transfer window, joined Inter in the most recent January transfer window but has very seldom performed to expectations in his time with the club.
The 27-year-old former Ajax player joined Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Tottenham Hotspur on a four and a half year contract but he has struggled to cement a place for himself in Antonio Conte’s starting line-up.
Since joining the club, Eriksen has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided his teammates with three assists.
