Former Juventus and Napoli defender Ciro Ferrara discussed this season’s titles race and the favourites in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.
“It would be a miracle if team other than Juventus win the Scudetto. They are the favourites, they have the strongest team and Pirlo is a good coach. Of course, there is also Inter, but Juve are stronger.”
He also spoke about Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli, who many believe could look to fight for the league title this season.
“They can aim high only because they kept Koulibaly. And then Osimhen and Gattuso arrived, who are two important people.”
Inter have started the season well, winning their first two games against Fiorentina and Benevento. Antonio Conte’s squad hit a small stumble against Lazio, in a 1-1 draw in Rome. Their next league clash is against AC Milan in the derby next weekend.
Atalanta and the Rossoneri are currently tied at the top of the league table, after winning their first three games of the season. The Bianconeri have only played twice so far, having won their first game before drawing 2-2 with Roma.
Inter’s first meeting with Juventus is on the 17th January in Milan, with the return leg being the penultimate game of the season.
