Roma captain Edin Dzeko could leave the capital city club as soon as January according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Messaggero.

There is a lot of uncertainty still surrounding Dzeko’s future with the Giallorossi club. Inter are the most serious candidate in Italy to sign him whilst there has also been an unnamed Premier League club to have knocked on the door already.

Roma will take a sale into consideration if they fail to come to an agreement with Dzeko over spreading his current salary over an extra year.

If unable to come to an agreement and if they go on to sell Dzeko, the report goes on to explain that the Giallorossi club will move for Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik.

This season Dzeko has made three appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored a total of two goals.
