Inter’s poor conversion rate has been behind them picking up just one point from their last two games according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
In the season opener against Benevento, Inter took 18 shots and scored five goals. They had a conversion rate of 27.8%. Against Fiorentina on match day two the conversion rate dropped to 19% yet Inter still managed to net four goals.
Against Lazio on match day three, Inter’s conversion rate was just 8.3% and in this past weekend’s Milan derby defeat, Inter converted just 5.5% of their 18 shots taken in the 2-1 loss to their Rossoneri rivals.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that Romelu Lukaku and Nicolo Barella in particular will be key to the Nerazzurri to get back on track whilst Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic will also be important for Inter on the flanks.
