Matteo Darmian and Romelu Lukaku were Inter’s best performing players in last night’s 2-2 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in their Champions League group stage opener according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Darmian made his Inter debut against the German side at San Siro and provided the assist for the first of Lukaku’s two goals on the night. Both players have been given ratings of 7.5 for their performances.
Lautaro Martinez was awarded a rating of 7/10 for his efforts on the park whilst Alessandro Bastoni and Aleksandar Kolarov both got 6.5.
Samir Handanovic, Stefan de Vrij, Ivan Perisic and Christian Eriksen were all given ratings of 6/10. Danilo D’Ambrosio, Nicolo Barella and Alexis Sanchez all left a lot to be desired with their performances and got half marks but were not the worst performers.
The worst performer was in fact central midfielder Arturo Vidal who received a rating of just 4.5.
