Napoli could make a move to sign Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast late last night.

The Partenopei club are continuing to think about moving for the Brazilian born Italian as they look to reinforce at left wing-back.

The report from the broadcaster explains that the Stadio San Paolo could move for the Chelsea defender in the event that Elseid Hysaj is sold.

Emerson has also long been linked with a potential switch to Napoli’s fellow Serie A side Inter. The 26-year-old was linked with Inter in the recent Summer transfer window and Chelsea were reportedly demanding a sum of €30 million for him.

Emerson joined his current employers in the January transfer window of the 2017/18 season and is under contract with the Premier League side until the end of next season.

This season he has made just two appearances and has failed to make any goal contributions.
