Inter cannot afford to drop any more points at this early stage in the season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s start to the season has not met expectations. The Milanese side are currently 6th in the table after four games, winning their first two matches before drawing against Lazio and losing to AC Milan in the derby.

Antonio Conte’s side also dropped points in the Champions League, drawing 2-2 with German side Borussia Monchengladbach.

Inter, over the next five matches, need to relaunch themselves, starting with this evening’s game against Genoa.

Next week Conte’s side will face Shakhtar Donetsk in their second Champions League group stage game, before facing Parma next weekend. Other upcoming fixtures include Real Madrid, Atalanta and Torino.

Last year the Milanese side started stronger, winning their first six games of the season, although also starting slowly in the Champions League.
