Inter president Steven Zhang wants to make it past the Champions League group stage to celebrate his two years as club president according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter drew their Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Monchengladbach and are to face unexpected group leaders Shakhtar Donetsk tomorrow evening in Kyiv, a match, which if won, would boost Inter’s chances of making it to the second round of the competition for the first time under Suning’s ownership.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Zhang is currently back home in his native China in a bid to find a sponsor who will replace Pirelli on the front of Inter’s shirts.

Hisense, whose president has already met with Zhang’s father, Suning president Zhang Jindong, are currently in pole position to succeed Pirelli. Inter hope to be able to get €25-30 million a year from a new sponsor.
