Former Juventus and Italian national team midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has shared his belief that Inter are a team who lack ideas when they do not have Romelu Lukaku on the pitch.
Lukaku missed Inter’s match this past weekend at home to Parma and Antonio Conte’s side performed noticeably different without the prolific Belgian in the side.
Lukaku missed the match due to a muscle injury and is also going to miss Inter’s Champions League group stage match away to Real Madrid later on today.
Multiple reports have also stated that he is at risk of missing out on Inter’s match away to Atalanta this coming weekend.
“Inter are addicted to Lukaku and I’ve been saying this for a while. I was curious to see Inter without Lukaku, but they are a team without ideas,” Tacchinardi explained in an interview with Italian radio station TMW Radio, yesterday afternoon.
Lukaku, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 in a club record €65 million deal, has made seven appearances across all competitions to date for Inter. In his time on the park, he has scored seven goals.
