Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has sang the praises of Inter following last night’s narrow victory over the Nerazzurri at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium.

The Spanish central defender, who scored the hosts’ second goal, helped his side to a 3-2 win over Antonio Conte’s Inter in the Spanish capital city of Madrid and it was a far from easy match for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid took a 2-0 lead but Inter managed to recover and bring the score to 2-2. Inter had many chances to then take a first lead of the game but were unable to do so unlike Real Madrid, who got a late winner through second half substitute, Rodrygo.

“It was a very difficult match, Inter are a very solid team, with a well-defined playing philosophy. In the end we got a good result and we took home three very important points,” Ramos began an interview with Spanish broadcaster Movistar+ following the match.

“Every time you win the team regains that confidence and the doubts generated by bad results go away but we must stay on the sidelines of everything, no opinion should move us. We knew it was a life or death match.”

With the win, Real Madrid lifted themselves off of bottom spot in group B at Inter’s expense. At the half way stage of the group stage, Borussia Monchengladbach lead group B, Shakhtar Donetsk are second, Real Madrid third and Inter fourth.
