Even though the teams still have more than a month and a half to strengthen the squads, the bookmakers have already started to publish the first odds relating to the coming serie A campaign. Juventus is by far the favorite to win the championship according to the bookies, a scudetto for Juve pays 1,70. The odds for the closest competitors according to the bookies are Milan at 5 times the bet and Napoli at 9.
Inter pays 11 times the money to win the scudetto, while Roma is at 17. There is not much faith in Fiorentina as Italian champions, the odds is at 26.
Regarding the Champions League spots Juventus is considered a sure thing at 1,05 and Milan as well (1,36). Then we have Napoli at 2, Inter at 2,88, Roma at 3,20 and Fiorentina at 4. Lazio on the other hand pays 10 times the bet to reach one of the CL spots.
As for the teams retroceding Livorno is the team at risk according to the bookies, the odds for them leaving the serie a is at 1,70 and then follow Sassuolo and Hellas Verona at 2,20 and 2,50 respectively (same odds given for Chievo). And the other teams at risk are Bologna (3,50), Cagliari and Atalanta at 4.
